Business Development Manager

We are looking to strengthen our Business Development Team with a high calibre Printed Folded Carton Sales Professional, who has a proven track record and a passion for opening and converting new business opportunities. Working closely with our internal team, the role will require you to identify and create new business opportunities and manage a portfolio of accounts in a wide range of industries.

You should be self-driven, results-oriented, work with a positive outlook, and have a clear focus on high quality service. You should also be ambitious, credible, and comfortable in dealing with both internal and external contacts, reliable, tolerant, and determined. A good communicator, well presented and possess a business-like mind. You should have knowledge of design led bespoke products and ideally will have some experience of selling products into any of the following markets: Food and beverage, engineering and automotive, healthcare or pet care. Any knowledge of the printed folded carton industry would be of particular interest, although not essential. You could have previously held one of the following roles: Key Account Manager, Sales Manager, Sales Executive, Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Territory Sales manager, Account Manager.

Senior Accountant

We are Kingston Carton Co ltd, a progressive printed carton manufacturing business based in Hull. We are seeking someone to join our team as a Senior Accountant on a permanent basis. We offer a competitive salary depending on experience, including attractive working hours and holiday entitlement.

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

Overseeing the day-to-day finance function, including financial controls and systems development.
Producing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
Cost rates preparation.
Managing intercompany recharges and overseeing VAT and corporation tax returns.
Working closely with suppliers and supporting annual audit processes.
Accounting for imports of raw materials, packaging waste, climate levy calculations.
Overseeing of weekly and monthly payroll and pension payment contributions.
Providing insights and analysis to support the senior management team.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

Proven experience in a senior financial role.
Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in financial sage software as well MS Excel knowledge.
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with various stakeholders and wider team.
Relevant accounting qualifications are advantageous, but not essential. Individuals who are qualified by experience or part qualified will equally be considered.
